Softly Sleeping

Picture
Belinda is a proud mom with over 20 years experience as an Occupational Therapist. She completed the Gentle sleep Coaching course in December of 2011 and now offers help at your home (locally), on a call or in an office setting you prefer meeting in an office. She is based in Worcester, Massachusetts

"My mother instilled a knowledge of how important sleep is in life, I knew it was important, but as a new mom, I didn't know how much sleep my baby needed or how to help her learn good sleep habits.  There is so much information out there, were my instincts correct?  I read about Kim West's 'Sleep Shuffle', and bought her book "Good Night, Sleep Tight". I was so happy when I was able to speak to her and clarify some issues. She taught me the basics, I learned to trust myself.  After I achieved success, I started thinking about helping other parents problem solve solutions for their own sleepless nights. Kim offered the Gentle Sleep Coaching course and here I am."

Testimonials

Karina from Canada:
Thanks Belinda for your support and wonderful professional advice!!! you help was more than professional because I feel I gained a friend that understood me so much!!!!The last 3 nights .
I closed the door and A played a little and fell asleep by himself with no crying at all .
This process took  only 13 day!!!!! The night before we started the shuffle and talking with you, I remember Ari woke up 7 times in the same night!!!!
So I believe that without your support  these results wouldn't have been possible.
Today I started the nap training and yes it took some time to fall asleep 25' morning and 15 in the afternoon , and there was NO CRYING AT ALL!!
I feel so confident now,  and I learned so much!!
Thanks again!!!!
With love
a happy family again
K, L and A the great sleeper again
(BTW his morning nap 1/20 hrs , his afternoon nap 2 hrs and last night he slept 11.30 hrs in a row!)

Heather M from Dryden NY said: Our 18 month old son has always been a terrible sleeper.  He always needed a bottle and/or rocking in order to fall asleep.  Often he would wake up as soon as we went to place him in his crib, and we’d have to repeat the whole process over and over.  Our evenings were always stressful.  After we put him to sleep he would usually wake up 1-3 times a night.  Sometimes he would sleep all night, but it was never predictable. After a few particularly bad weeks of him waking up every 45 minutes throughout the night, we called Belinda. She gave us a plan specifically tailored to our son’s needs.  We began to see results almost immediately.  After a few weeks of following the plan we are now able to put our son down in his crib AWAKE (something we’ve never been able to do).  After we put him down, we leave the room, he puts himself to sleep, and he stays asleep for 11-12 hours a night.  After over a year of sleep deprivation, I can’t tell you how grateful we are for peaceful evenings!

I appreciate your time, dedication, knowledge and professionalism. Thank you for sincerely coaching me through this process. Exhaustion can open the floodgates of self-doubt and frustration as a mom, but with your focus and encouragement I was able to better care for myself and for my baby. I feel like you helped retrieve my sanity and strengthen my confidence. With your coaching I learned so much about my own baby girl, which I consider priceless.
Marisssa in the USA said: Have you ever thought you would never get your child to sleep at a decent hour, or get your child to sleep in his/her own bed, or get your child to sleep through the night? These were many concerns my husband and I lived with night after night with our 2 ½ year old.  Thankfully, we were introduced to Mrs. Helen and we are more than thankful that we were.  Although Helen will not take the credit for teaching us and Peyton what bedtime really means, that he’s a big boy and he can sleep in his big boy bed all night long all by himself; Helen definitely is the Queen of Bedtime in our eyes.  Without Helen guiding my husband and I, I’m afraid we’d still be pulling our hair out, co sleeping and no one getting a good night’s rest.  My husband and I were amazed by what a few months of working with Helen did for our family, and what huge sleep changes we’ve seen not only in Peyton’s sleep, but the whole family! Helen was always there to answer any question/concerns we had via skype or email.  We can’t thank Helen enough for all she did for us.  If only she lived closer we could give her a big thank you hug… but for now; it’s cyber hugs! Thank you SO much Helen!
From Claire in Australia:.
